Enjoy the beach with your dog: Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Graciosa

“Dogs are what unites us to paradise. They do not know negativity, jealousy or discontent”. At Líneas Romero we could not agree more with this phrase by the novelist Milan Kundera. We also bring you closer to paradise (also known as “Canary Islands”), and, in addition, our boats always have a space reserved for pets.

In this sense, at Líneas Romero we offer you the possibility of traveling with your pets at no additional cost. Because adventures are better when we share them with our loved ones. Therefore, today we want to recommend the best beaches in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Graciosa to visit with your pets:

Lanzarote

Playa El Afre (near Las Coloradas) in the municipality of Yaiza, in the south of the island. It is located near the famous Papagayo beaches and covers an area of about 400 meters. It is one of the few beaches in the south of Lanzarote that has black sand and gravel.

Playa de Guacimeta, in the town of Playa Honda. It extends from the municipality of San Bartolomé to that of Tías, stretching over the east coast of Lanzarote from the island airport with an area of 165 linear meters. It should be mentioned that dogs must remain on a leash there, except when they are in the water.

Fuerteventura

Playa de Bristol is a small urban beach located in the north of Corralejo, belonging to the municipality of La Oliva. It stretches over approximately 100 meters with golden sand surrounded by dark stones typical of the island’s landscape. It is the ideal place to enjoy a walk with your pets.

For its part, Puerto del Rosario, the capital of Fuerteventura, has different beach areas for dogs:

– Mouth of the Barranco de La Muley, in el Matorral.

– Mouth of the Barranco de El Negrito, in Los Pozos.

– Punta de la Arena (on the old road to Puerto Lajas, north of the purification plant)

– Mouth of the Barranco de la Herradura (to the south of Puerto Lajas)

– Mouth of the Barranco de Guisguey (to the north of Puerto Lajas).

La Graciosa

This island is a true paradise, not only for people, but also for pets. Here you can enjoy walks and dips with your dogs freely. However, although there are not many restrictions, respect for other visitors is important, so we recommend that you are always aware of your pet so that everyone can spend unforgettable days.

Finally, we remind you that when traveling with your pets you must always take into account some safety concerns. Thus, dogs must be on a leash throughout the journey and those of breeds considered potentially dangerous must wear a muzzle. In addition, it is recommended that you consult your veterinarian for advice on how to travel with your pet, or issues such as vaccinations or how to combat motion sickness.

With that you should have everything, so… get ready for enjoyment with your pets! We await you at Líneas Romero.
